After three years, the St. John’s Status of Women Council has launched the DV@WorkNL project research and findings. Our DV@WorkNL research explores the ways Domestic Violence that happens in the home also impacts the workplace and workers. The results speak to both the impacts of Domestic Violence on workplaces as well as the issue of Domestic Violence more broadly. All findings, reports, and more information about the DV@WorkNL project can be found here:

On Friday November 27th the DV@WorkNL research team presented their findings, including the Imagine the Courage report, the full DV@WorkNL research report, an employer’s guide, and provincial resources for survivors and allies. Our launch includes a renewed call for a community-driven, all-party, interdepartmental task force on gender-based violence in Newfoundland and Labrador. Following last week’s launch we sent the reports and findings to Premier Furey, Minister Crocker and Minister Dempster with a request to meet. To date we have not received a response.
