Description
A few weeks ago, we noticed a post from Busy Phillips with a feminist hot take on mask wearing:
NOT ONE MAN TOLD ME TO SMILE IN PUBLIC TODAY. And ALSO no one can comment telling me how much prettier I am when I smile and I guess that is now my second favorite thing about wearing masks in public My number one is PROTECTING MYSELF AND OTHERS FROM COVID-19!!
We got inspired and our “don’t tell me to smile” masks were born!!”
The many inequalities women face have been exacerbated and laid bare by the COVID_19 pandemic. We wanted to highlight issues important to us as staff and SJSOWC members through our #Don’tTellMeToSmile campaign. Check out our social media and join the movement! @sjsowc
